The John Bishop Charitable Trust works to support theological learning through the maintenance of the library of the late Dr John Bishop, a priest of the Church of England.
The library is housed at the Abbey of Notre-Dama du Bec-Hellouin in Normandy, France and has particular strengths in the areas of Anglicanism and ecumenical studies. We hope our work will contribute to better mutual understanding between the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches.
Bursaries are available from the Trust for those wishing to use the library either individually or as part of a reading week. A secondary objective of the Trust, when funds allows, is support for the works of hospices.
This website will provide you with further information about the work of the Trust and ways, in which you can contact us for further details.
